Wrist Circumference
Wrist circumference is the basis for perfectly fitting cuffs. A precise measurement prevents the cuff from being too loose or uncomfortably tight on the wrist.
- Position: Measure directly at the wrist bone.
- Condition: Tape fitting closely but not cutting in.
- Special: For watch wearers, measure over the watch or at the usual position.
Place the tape measure once around your wrist, ideally just above the bone. Measure exactly on the skin without calculating any allowance.
Important Note:
This guide is for determining your individual anatomical measurements (body measurements). These values are not identical to the measurements of a finished shirt, as a tailor adds a comfort allowance depending on the desired fit (e.g., Slim Fit or Comfort Fit).
Preparation:
Ideally, measure in light underwear or on bare skin. Stand relaxed and upright. A second person for support significantly increases accuracy.
